Andrea & Adrian {Switzerland}

I met fellow wedding photographer, Andrea, whilst attending a workshop in Croatia recently.
Based in Switzerland, talented Andrea does really awesome work and I soon discovered that she
was in the middle of planning her own wedding – an elopement in Hawaii! Upon their return, she
and Adrian decided to have a big wedding brunch to celebrate with family and friends.

The venue for the wedding brunch was an orchid glasshouse in the countryside near Wettingen,
not far from Zurich. Andrea went all out on the decoration and details, and did an amazing job,
ordering lots of lovely things from Etsy, a great resource for brides. After seeing Proteas (an
indigenous Cape flower from South Africa) for the first time in a local flower shop, she fell in
love with them and ordered some for each table. There was also a photo frame displaying their
Hawaiian love-story and the wedding video was playing on a big-screen TV. The fun seating
plan was made from flowers and each person wore a colour-coded frangipani of different shades
representing their relationship to Adrian and Andrea – whether family, friends, or couples they
have photographed.

A 75-year old chocolatier from Lindt spoilt guests with hand-made pralines, which were then
beautifully packaged as little gifts for the guests to take home!

A wonderful time was had by all, and I cannot thank Andrea and Adrian enough for inviting me
to be their photographer and for taking care of us all weekend.
